Well I said before it was going to produce three spikes I think. Well whatever number I put I underestimated this one just a little, lol.
There are currently an AT LEAST 7 spikes, yes that IS SEVEN, and one well developed one I counted ten buds on it?!
So that is a potential of 70 flowers and whatever number it turns out to be it will be damned impressive, LMAO! Oooh I really do have high hopes for this one but especially when I get it to branch out with more plants again.
So next year this will be quite a specimen plant?!?! Fingers crossed!

PHALAENOPSIS HIEROGLYPHICA NEW ROOTS
My seedling Phalaenopsis hieroglyphica is starting to look more like less of a seedling and more like a plant mature enough to produce flowers.
But I still think it has one more leaf and a couple of months to go before it reaches that stage, if we get any warm weather that is?!?!
Still that biggest leaf is a fair size now and new roots are emerging so I expect a speed up in the leaf production to start in the next week or two!
If you happen to be comparing it with previous pictures on previous posts I should point out that the pot you see in these pictures is one that it was moved into recently one that is a standard size, 5 inch I think, that you will see all the hybrid Phalaenopsis Orchids in at your local supermarket!
Not the little ones either the standard size Moth Orchid pots as this is what it was from! So it has probably at least doubled in size.

BULBOPHYLLUM GROWTHS AND SPIKE
My Bulbophyllum has sprung into action albeit late.
There are at least TWO new growths that have appeared and I think the beginnings of a flower spike.
Not sure the spike is visible in the pictures and awkward to get a picture of without removing the plant, which is bloody tricky!!

ZYGOPETALUM OLD PICTURE
Here is an old bad quality picture of one of my two Zygopetalums in flower from three years ago.
A great deal bigger now than they were then and right now I have a few NEW growths appearing so a few weeks I might get three of four spikes on these?!
Do NOT mist these too much and leave the leaves dry for several days. When you do mist which I do once or when warmer twice a week I only do so very finely and lightly.
Water on the leaves it will not like one bit and the leaves will rot.
When I first got these two four years ago I lost all the leaves on one and all but two on the other, got fed up threw them outside behind my maples and under some Lelandii and next thing I knew they got all their leaves back?!
Done great ever since, LMAO.
